You people are so vindictive, great job OP looks great! When i was growing up we rented and my parents always put in a little extra to spruce up the place. Even though it wasnt ours those little things made it feel like home.

Should negotiate rent credit for your labor. After all it increases property value more than what you spent.

Make sure when you leave that place you spray roundup on every single centimeter on that grass.

    All the best 🤝🏻

What’s the difference between putting the black thing down and over seeding ? Like do I need the black thing too?

  12. Dang that grew quickly! What kind of seed did you put down?

  13. Please give us an update when you move out of this rental after using a sod cutter. This is like putting new wheels on a leased car and returning the car with the leased wheels.

  14. Great stuff. Some day he’ll be proud of the work you’ve done.

It’s crazy to me that property owners have no interest in keeping their places clean and tidy.

Just to add, i think if you painted the fence, that would be a quick, easy upgrade.

  17. As a papa of 3 little toddlers – add some variety for them to explore.

Examples: hills, logs, rocks, different plants (I like to start with veggies.

Great work for a crappy situation/landlord!

Lovely. If the weather has been anything like it was where I am since your first post you couldn’t have timed it better! Congrats and hope your kids enjoys this new outside space.

Nah make sure to nuke that shit before you move out
